He Will Shelter You - A Card Using Honey Bee Stamps

Hello! Welcome to my little corner of the internet! Today I'm sharing a card I created using some of my favorite stamps and dies from Honey Bee Stamps

To create this card I started out by diecuting all the elements I would use for the card. Next using several colors of Concord & 9th ink I inked up my diecuts using finger sponges. I love the small blending radius of the finger sponges which allows for more detailed inking of the diecut  you are coloring.
After inking the die cut elements, I spritzed the pieces with white distress ink. I love the distressed look it adds! Once dry I assembled the card and added the die cut sentiment.

To create this card I used the following Honey Bee Stamps supplies:

So Many Stamps So Little Time - I'm Back!

Hello and welcome back to my blog! For the last long while most of my shared content has been on Instagram.  I've had some exciting stamping opportunities arise this Summer and it is time to get back into the swing of blogging my creations. I'm starting off with a card featuring one of my favorite die sets from one of my favorite (truly) companies, Honey Bee Stamps. This card features the lavender sprig from Lovely Layers: Spring Greenery

To create my background I used the HBS "Scattered Seeds" stencil and Ranger texture paste. I LOVE the beautiful dimension this technique adds to a card.

Today also happens to be my Birthday! To celebrate my B-day, and my Blog "Grand Re-opening" I am offering a $50 gift card to the craft company of YOUR choice. Just leave a comment to be entered in the drawing. For another chance to win follow me on Instagram HERE.  Winner will be randomly picked on Monday July 3rd.  Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Feature Friday With Concord & 9th

Welcome to my last Feature Friday with Concord & 9th! Today I am sharing cards featuring Garden Grown and Oh Happy Day. Here is my first card:

Garden Grown is such a cute set that is a lot of fun to piece together. I had an idea in mind for this card as soon as I saw the first peek of this bundle. I imagined a pile of veggies on a red and white gingham table cloth. The "Picnic Plaid Turnabout" was exactly what I needed. I grew up gardening with my parents and grandparents, and most Summer dinners were on my Nannies gingham table cloth filled with the vegetables they picked in the garden that day. The embossed background was created using the "Quilted Card Front Die".

My next card also features the "Garden Grown" bundle. This time I added stenciled background using the "Garden Grown Stencil Pack". The scalloped rectangle is from the "Love You More Than" bundle.

My next card features the awesome  "Thank You" sentiment dies from the "Happy Thanks" bundle. I LOVE this bundle. My apple themed card features the September release "Apple Orchard Turnabout" bundle. This turnabout is the cutest! I added the large apple diecut included in the bundle to anchor my "thank you".

My last card also features the "Happy Thanks Bundle". To make my sentiment POP I used Concord &9th "Silver Glitter Cardstock". This glitter cardstock is dreamy and has minimal glitter dust. I die-cut the "Oh Happy Day" 4 times, and adhered the layers to give my sentiment dimension. It makes a huge difference! The background was created using the "Plaid Turnabout" background stamp and the pink butterfly was made using the "Bold Butterflies" bundle. To celebrate Concord & 9th is offering a $25 gift card to a commenter from each of the three guest designers Instagram feed. Be sure to visit me at @veezalis for your chance to win!

Feature Friday with Concord & 9th

Hello and Happy Friday! I am excited to be joining Concord & 9th as a guest designer sharing projects from the latest release! First up is a card featuring the "Petal Pushers Bundle".

I really enjoyed creating this bouquet of daisies! They fit perfectly with the basket from the "Freshly Picked' bundle. I also used the "Gingham" background stamp.

My next project is something I had more fun working on then anything I've ever stamped before, the "Mini Months Calendar Bundle". It was SO much fun creating the theme for each month. This would be the ultimate gift for the person in your life that appreciates the time it takes to create something like this.

Here are the close ups of the months I created using the "Printed Calendar Bundle".

I used the "Freshly Picked Bundle" and the "Quilted Card Front Die" to create my basket of pumpkins for November.

For December I used "Poinsettia Quilt Top" dies, "Boughs and Holly" dies, and the "Festive Phrases Bundle".

For January I used one of my favorite die sets of all time, "Home For Holidays Stacks" dies. I could build cute little Christmas villages all day long.

My last month is February and it features the "Happy Heart Bundle" and the "Rainbow Stitches and Strings" die set.

If you made it this far, thank you. I hope I was able to inspire you! I hope you have an amazing weekend!

Feature Friday With Concord and 9th - Rainbows and Butterflies

I'm back for the second Friday as a Guest Designer for Concord and 9th! Today we are featuring the "Butterfly Perfect Pairings and the "Bold Butterfly' bundle.
To create my card I chose a rainbow of ink colors:

I free handedly blended the colors using a sponge dauber. Before cutting out the butterfly diecut shape I splattered my cardstock with white craft paint.

The negative diecut that I was left with was so pretty I had to use it on a card too!

I die cut the butterflies with white and black cardstock. I adhered them together to give my image a 3d effect. I love the way it turned out!
My next card features the BEAUTIFUL "Bold Butterflies" bundle.
I stamped the butterflies using these ink colors:

Using the sentiment die shape I cut out several strips of coordinating card stock and adhered them to my card base. I love the way the butterflies POP against the band of colors.

The "Bold Butterflies" bundle has endless possibilities!

Feature Friday with Concord and 9th

I am THRILLED to be joining Concord and 9th as one of the May Guest Designers for “Feature Friday”! Today we are featuring the new May release “Everyday Sayings Dies” and “Rainbows Stitches and Strings

My first card features the Everyday Sayings dies. I love the mix of fonts. The compliment each other so well, and the end result is a fun and trendy design! I used a few other goodies from the May release. 😉

My second card features the fabulously designed Rainbow Stitches and Strings bundle. This card was FUN to create. I used 4 colors of Concord and 9th card stock, Aqua Sky, Ballet Slipper, Grapefruit, and Sorbet. I love this color combo! I used the newly released “Sketched Dots” turnabout. I had never used a “turnabout” before and honestly I was I intimidated. But, I’m so glad I did because I LOVE how easy it was to create a perfectly stamped background. I hope I inspired you today!
